Player Protection & Payments Product Owner (London)
kwiff isn’t gambling as you know it. We’re redefining the experience with a bold, player-first approach to sports betting and casino, powered by our proprietary tech platform, fully automated sportsbook, and standout UX across web and mobile. What truly sets us apart? Our signature feature that allows players’ odds, cash outs and more to be ‘supercharged’ at random, creating surprise wins and a thrilling betting experience. 🎯⚡️
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Player Protection & Payments Product Owner to help us manage and optimise critical parts of our platform, including payments, risk, fraud, and compliance. You’ll work across teams to deliver a secure, seamless and fully compliant experience for our players. This is a great opportunity to shape high-impact systems that sit at the heart of a trusted betting product.
Your role & responsibilities:
Manage Key Risk & Compliance Systems. Own the product roadmap for risk management, fraud prevention, and player protection tools. Ensure these systems are scalable, effective, and built around player trust.
Optimise Payments Experience. Deliver smooth, intuitive payment journeys across deposit and withdrawal flows. Work closely with payment partners and internal teams to improve approval rates and reduce friction.
Embed Compliance. Ensure features meet regulatory requirements, including KYC, AML, affordability and responsible gambling. You’ll help keep our systems audit-ready and aligned with the latest guidance.
Own the Product Backlog. Translate business goals and regulatory needs into well-defined product requirements. Prioritise with clarity and maintain a structured, outcome-focused backlog.
Cross-Functional Delivery. Collaborate with tech, risk, compliance and operations teams to deliver features that are both technically sound and player-friendly.
Track & Report Performance. Monitor key KPIs such as fraud rates, chargebacks, and payment success rates. Use data to drive decisions and identify opportunities for optimisation.
Support Safer Gambling. Contribute to features and processes that ensure a responsible and safe betting experience for every player.
Stay Informed. Keep up to date with regulatory changes, payment technologies, and industry best practices to ensure we remain ahead of the curve.
What we’re looking for:
- Experienced Operator. You bring 2–3 years of experience in a product, risk, payments or compliance role, ideally in iGaming, fintech or eCommerce
- Payments & Risk Knowledge. You understand online payment flows, fraud detection tools, and customer verification processes
- Compliance Aware. You’re familiar with frameworks such as KYC, AML, affordability and responsible gambling, or you’re keen to develop deep expertise
- Highly Organised. You know how to manage multiple priorities, keep projects moving, and maintain a clear product backlog
- Customer-First. You balance the need for compliance with the importance of providing a smooth, frictionless experience
- Analytical & Data-Driven. You make decisions based on insights and KPIs, not assumptions
- Strong Communicator. You work well across teams and can clearly communicate priorities, requirements and timelines
- Adaptable & Fast-Moving. You thrive in dynamic environments and stay calm under pressure
- Eager to Improve. You’re proactive, enthusiastic, and excited to help us deliver safer, smarter betting experiences
